Who We Are
We are a UK based re-enactment group with members across the country, who portray grenadiers from the various incarnations of the "Hermann Göring" Division, form 1940 to the close of hostility's 1945. During the course of the year we attend various shows throughout the country (usually one every four weeks), putting on displays in the summer and taking part in private battles and training weekends in the Autumn and winter months.
Events and Private Battles
Public events and private battles are held throughout the year at various locations across the UK. Membership fees for the year are £25.00. Each member makes their own arrangements for obtaining uniforms, equipment and transport prior to attending each show. Help will be given to new members.
About The Group Members
The members of Axis42 are a friendly group who enjoy getting together to share their common interest in German re-enacting and other military subjects. Members are very knowledgeable so there is always something to learn about the group we portray. The social aspect of getting together and sharing your hobby with like minded people is a great experience and we encourage team work. Axis42 do not do drill or marching, field craft is taught but there is no shouting or punishment duty. Rank is determined by the amount of work, effort and time a member puts into the group and there is an awards system in place. If you are interested in joining a friendly bunch of NON political people who enjoy public events and private battles, please read the rules below.
Anyone with strong political views are not welcome.
Group Rules.
All members must agree to abide by the rules of the Group.
No person may be a member of the Group unless they have completed and signed a Membership Application form.
All members must undertake to uphold the good reputation of the Group at all times.
All members will ensure that they remain non-political at all times.
Upon joining the Group, new members will take the lowest rank, rank cannot be transferred from other groups.
No member will wear awards, medals or ribbons, unless they have been earned within axis42.
Members must reach a certain standard of uniform and equipment before being allowed to display to the public.
Offensive language and/ or bad behavior by members will not be tolerated .
Incidents of violence will mean instant expulsion from the group.
All modern items, such as mobile phones and modern jewelry must not be on display during events.
No long hair or beards are allowed.
If you are unsure about something please ask a senior member of the group, that's what they are there for.
Safety is very important, all members must think about the safety of himself and others, at all times.
